Overworked, little rest and not so much play time

Worked overtime most of the week, its crazy. I am talking about 8am to 10pm! damn you end of financial year. I felt like a mad monkey working in a circus juggling between daily tasks and deadlines, then having to put on a lion costume and start jumping fire hoops.

Thank goodness my boss didn't ask me to work this weekend. Seems like yesterday was the first time I saw sunlight this week, its great to be outdoors and soaking up the sun for some much needed vitamin D.

Winter blues

Winter. I hate it with pure passion! I could seriously just die from the cold. Now if you excuse me I am going to crawl under the doona, please don't wake me till spring time. Arrggghhh... if only that's possible, several events are happening right now, the stocktake sale is one of them, quite an important one too. So, scratch the doona idea. Lucky today is warm enough and I get to hop around in my silk skirt.

Forever a bag lady

Having the right bag and shoes is a must to complete any outfit, otherwise its like a cake without cherry on top, pancakes without syrups, diet coke without artificial sweeteners, Redbull not give you wings, or...well you get the gist. I do appreciate beautifully designed shoes but its more important that I am able to walk in them. Because my footies deserves royal treatments, so the shoes I wear must be comfortable. Think Victoria Beckham and bunion. Don't get me wrong I do like her good fashion sense, just minus the bunion. So if I had to choose, I definitely prefer bags over shoes.

I've recently taken a great interest in photography, mainly because the boyfriend, K talks so passionately about it, and it eventually rubbed off on me, so I'll give him credit for that. When I finally paid more attention to what he was saying, I realised photography is not simply just point and shoot. Well not in manual mode anyway, which is where all the fun is. There are so many elements that make up a good picture,the control of the exposure (IOS, shutter speed and aperture), white balance, composition and so on. Clearly, I do not have enough technical expertise to go into more details. But I am really enjoying the learning process.

I also think there's no need for me to have the latest equipment (yet), this way I will have to work harder to get better results. Inspiration is everywhere. I now look at things differently and have began to notice things I've never noticed before.

Rose and Ruby A/W 09

I am absolutely in love with these pieces from the Rose and Ruby A/W 09 collection. It's so detailed and exquisite. I could just take it all home for my winter wardrobe. I am already planning on where and when I would be able to wear these. Oh, I wish you can see the happy thoughts dancing around in my head. Swoon!

Back to reality, I probably won't be able to splash out on any of these after going through my budget for this winter. I believe I've already advanced this winter's budget last year. Talk about efficiency when it comes to spending money.
